Step By Step
8 Steps To A Neat Fit
1
Unpack and shake out

Your cover arrives vacuum packed, so it will look creased. Open it, give it a good shake, and take any throw pillows off the sofa.

BOTTOM EDGE
2
Find the bottom edge

The edge with the elastic and the white ties is the bottom. It goes under the sofa. The care label is sewn on the inside of this edge.

3
Throw it over

With a second person, hold the cover open by its corners, bottom edge facing down, and throw it over the whole sofa. Line it up so it sits evenly on both sides.

4
Work it down

Pull the cover down over the back, each arm and the front, until the elastic edge sits under the base all the way around. Line the seams up with the edges of the arms.

5
Tuck in the seat

Push the spare fabric deep into the gap between the seat and the back, and down both sides beside the arms.

6
Add the foam sticks

Push the white foam sticks into the same gaps, on top of the tucked fabric. They lock it in place, so the cover stays neat when you sit down.

Underneath the sofa
7
Tie it underneath

Tilt the sofa onto its back with a second person. Pull the ties from each corner to the middle and knot them together firmly, then stand the sofa back up.

8
Smooth and finish

Run your hands over the cover and pull down at each corner. Put your pillows back. Any packing creases relax within a day or two.

TIP

The deeper you tuck the seat fabric and foam sticks, the better the cover stays put. If it loosens over time, re-tuck the seat and tighten the ties underneath.

Tips For A Neat Fit
  • Line the seams up with the edges of the arms.
  • Stretch gently and work around the sofa a little at a time.
  • Packing creases relax within a day or two.
  • Re-tuck the seat any time it loosens.
Doesn't Seem To Fit?

Our sizes are measured over both arms and across the seat, not just the sofa's width: from the outside top edge of one arm, down into the seat, across, and up and over the other arm.

Quick check: most 3-seat sofas need the 4 Seater, and most 2-seat sofas need the 3 Seater. Thick or tall arms need the next size up.

If the cover will not reach under the base, please don't force it. Email us before you wash or alter anything and we will help you find the right size.
