Dune Warm Brown Diamond Jute Rug with White Dotted Lines
Jute rugs shed. It is the single most common complaint, and it is why a lot of people who like the look end up buying something synthetic instead.
Dune is the only mill spun jute in the range, and mill spinning is what makes the difference. The yarn is spun tighter and more evenly than hand spun jute, which brings shedding down to virtually zero.
The pattern is quiet rather than busy. Clean dotted white lines run across a warm brown ground, so it reads as texture from across the room and only shows itself as a pattern up close.

- Full premium cotton backing. Backed edge to edge, not just banded, so it stays flat on wood, tile or carpet with no bunching or curling.
- Mill spun yarn. Spun tighter and more evenly than hand spun jute, which is what kills the shedding.
- Holds less moisture. Mill spun jute retains less damp than loose fibre, so you do not get the lingering hessian smell.
- Neatly tucked edges. Finished and tucked rather than left raw, so the border does not unravel.
- Slim profile. At 0.28 inches it clears low doors and sits flush under furniture.
The commonest mistake with a natural fibre rug is going one size too small, which leaves a room looking unfinished. Use the right hand column as your starting point.

Handcrafted, so allow up to 3% variation on finished dimensions. A 2' x 3' set of three is also available if you want matching mats for a kitchen or hallway.
Warm brown with white detailing is a more forgiving base than a pale rug if you have pets, children or a hallway that takes the brunt of the weather. It works hard without looking like it is trying.
It works in a living room, under a dining table, along a hallway, in a bedroom, or in an entryway where it will take the most traffic.

Vacuum with the beater bar off, or use a suction only setting. Shake the smaller sizes out.
Blot straight away with a dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub the weave.
Turn it every few months so wear and sunlight land evenly across the rug.
Jute is a natural fibre. Wipe spills quickly and avoid soaking, which is what causes marks.
